World Youth Day 2008 Cologne, Germany
"We have come to worship Him!"
|
We start with a journey that ends in a pilgrimage....
World Youth Day is an event like no other. Ask a young person who has attened a WYD what their experience was like - usually their first reaction is speechlessness. WYD defies words, because, like most matters of faith, it is an experience that is first felt in the heart.
It is important for young people to get a glimpse of the Universal Church; to be united in faith and in prayer with Catholics from all over the world. WYD gives young people perspective. It gives them hope. It reminds young people that they are not alone. It allows young people to experience that their Church cares about them, and believes in them. World Youth Day calls young people to greatness, and young people have responded.

| With a theme of, "We Have Come to Worship Him!" WYD 2005 in Cologne, Germany was inspiring, holy, challenging, and well, awesome!
Youth to Youth led two catechatical tracts:
← We loved working with Bishop Soto from Orange, California. (Remind us to tell you about his singing debut!)
Bishop Fisher of Sydney Australia (WYD 2008!) was amazing to work with as well. →

Thanks from Bishops who have worked with YtY at World Youth Day(s).

All are pilgrims... and our beloved Holy Father, Pope Benedict XVI leads us on our way...
